Marco Island

Marco Island is a Barrier Island located in Collier County and is the furthest southwest Florida city. It has a year-round population of 16,000+- which more than doubles during the season. The island was named by the Spanish explorers in the 1500’s after St Mark. Marco Island is part of the 10,000 islands and was largely developed by the Collier Family. It is serviced by two bridges and has some of the best beaches in the state of Florida. The area is serviced by some excellent beachfront hotels, including the Marriott Hotel and Resorts. A lot of the homes on Marco Island have canals with Gulf access in their rear yards. There are luxury beachfront condos all along the shores. There is public beach access at various points for residents. Marco Island has different types of properties for all types of buyers.
