Collier County

Collier County is the largest county in the state of Florida consisting of 2,305 square miles. Part of the county consists of the Everglades National Park. The county is named after the famous industrialist Barron Collier, who is responsible with the early development of the area. I-75 runs thru the entire county and gives good access to the East Coast and up the West Coast of Florida. Collier County is larger than the state of Rhode Island and Delaware. It is also one of the best run counties in the United States.

There are over 100 golf courses in Collier County and Greater Naples area. The county has several public parks, YMCA’s, health clubs and is friendly to road bikes with hundreds of miles of bike lanes. The fishing, boating and scuba diving are excellent in the county. There are beautiful remote beaches such as Wiggins Pass, Keewaydin Island, Barefoot Beach Preserve and Tiger Tail Beach to name several. There is excellent deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and some of the best Tarpon & Snook fishing in the world. Collier County is well known for its beaches, parks, restaurants, golf courses, shopping, boating, weather and natural beauty as is considered to be one of the nicest parts of the country to live in.
